Campus Workshop Quadcopter


A drone, in a technological context, is an unmanned aircraft. Drones are more formally known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). Essentially, a drone is a flying robot. The aircraft may be remotely controlled or can fly autonomously through software-controlled flight plans in their embedded systems working in conjunction with GPS. UAVs have most often been associated with the military but they are also used for:

  • Search and rescue
  • Surveillance
  • Traffic monitoring
  • Weather monitoring and
  • Firefighting, among other things.

This program has been designed by the research team of Virscent so as to teach budding aeromodelling enthusiasts to build their own Drones.

At the end of the Workshop every Participant will get Microsoft AEP certification upon its successful completion. Winners of the competition at the end of the workshop will also be given certificates.

Is there any pre-requisite?

There is no pre-requisite to attend this course. However, understanding the basics of any programing language will be helpful. Having said that we will start from the very basic so that each and every person in the workshop can comprehend.

The kits can be purchased with an extra payment of Rs.5000/-
